Established in 1987, Menai Organics provides a professional service and
value for money. The company specialises in diverse ranges of fine
organic chemicals as intermediates for parallel synthesis and
solid-phase synthesis for research and development.
Our Intermediate and screening catalogues on CD or e-mail contain
over 5000 products (milligrammes to grammes) and rare intermediates
and polymer supported reagents, many unavailable elsewhere.
All compounds in our catalogues are synthesised and analysed
"in-house." Facilities include IR, 1H-NMR, U.V. and HPLC. Screening
catalogue products are supplied at a minimum of 90% purity by
HPLC. Intermediates from our Intermediates catalogue show individual
purities, typically 98% by HPLC
About Menai Organics products
Over the past 28 years we have built up a growing range of novel building blocks and screening compounds, primarily heterocyclic or aromatic molecules aimed at the agrochemical, drug discovery and biotechnology sectors and also intermediates for universities and standards for environmental analysis. These compounds comprise a unique collection of molecules with a wide range of applications in organic synthesis and parallel synthesis programmes. All our intermediates are offered at 95% purity unless otherwise stated and are available in gramme, multi-gramme and kilogramme quantities.
We offer compounds for High Throughput Screening and have a collection of 5000 compounds with 90% in stock at any one time. The purity of our screening compound collection is 90%+ but with an average of 96%. 80% of our compounds have a molecular weight of between 150 - 600.
We offer polymer supported reagents for parallel synthesis, including triphenylphosphine polystyrene and benzeneboronic acid supported on polystyrene and scavenger resins such as tris(2-aminoethyl)amine supported on polystyrene.
We have wide experience in the preparation of heterocyclic and aromatic intermediates such as benzothiazoles, benzothiophenes, diazepines, indoles, isoxazoles, oxadiazoles, oxindoles, pyridines, pyrimidines, pyrroles, thiophenes, thiazoles and triazoles. These have been functionalized with amines, anilines, carboxylic acids, hydrazides, phenols, piperazines, sulfonyl chlorides, thioureas and ureas.
